About

I am a studio-based full-time artist living in Queensland. I started painting in 1998, inspired by an exhibition of Emily Kngwarreye's work.

My current practice is consistent with my ongoing exploration into the use of a variety of found and discarded objects to create artworks with lines and rhythms. I manipulate a variety of materials - wooden boxes from Europe, rulers and other measuring devices, wire and rusty metal objects and other bits and pieces that appeal to me. I utilise the evidence left by past usage and handling to bring these materials into another realm, another public and an exploration of concepts.
